The former tram depot in Kappel spans an impressive 30,000 m² and consists of seven buildings as well as adjacent open spaces that offer a wide range of development opportunities. The site is easily accessible via two entrances off Zwickauer Straße and, thanks to its location right next to the “Am Feldschlößchen” stop, is also optimally connected to public transportation.

Chemnitz boasts a diverse and vibrant community of clubs and organizations. Whether choirs, dance clubs, chess clubs, or amateur theater groups—they all have one thing in common: the need for suitable spaces for rehearsals, meetings, and events.
With the Vereinsgarage in the Alte Lackiererei, we’re creating exactly that kind of space.
The space will become a flexible shared space that can be used collaboratively by various clubs and initiatives—as a rehearsal space, meeting place, event venue, or social hub for exchange.
